The question circulating through DeFi derivatives desks last week was phrased as speculation: "Will TradeXYZ leave Hyperliquid?" That framing is imprecise. The correct question is structural: "What is the actual cost of exiting an ecosystem that has become your counterparty, your custodian, and your liquidity venue?" These are not the same question. TradeXYZ operates as a derivatives exchange on Hyperliquid. Its matching engine inherits the platform's validator set. Its settlement relies on Hyperliquid's native bridge.
